Aerotek Hvac Technician in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

Perform skilled work in the repair, construction, and maintenance of various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including associated air handling, control devices and equipment, heating, ventilation, chilled water distribution systems, chillers, and energy management control systems. Work may be performed on rotating shifts and/or set day/evening/night work schedules as required.

Hard Skills

  • Analyze building heating and cooling systems

  • Recommend modifications for better operation and energy efficiency

  • Complete required documentation for records and reports

  • Conduct emergency repairs and operations of all systems

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC, chilled water, and refrigeration systems

  • Maintain pneumatic control systems and associated components

  • Perform maintenance and operational tests on HVAC and related systems

  • Conduct system troubleshooting and repair using electronics and electrical test equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, and air handling equipment

  • Perform computerized energy system monitoring

Work Environment

Will work on a hospital campus
