Systems Engineer

Leidos’ National Security Sector is seeking candidates to support an Intelligence Community client’s move from legacy systems to Next Generation Architecture. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic and Agile team conducting both new development and O&M.

In this role you will:

  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications,

  • Perform strategic systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis and analyze and study complex system requirements,

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities as well as apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles and business process modernization projects.

This position is contingent upon award, we expect award in November/December 2024.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledgeable in full-lifecycle systems operational support - maintenance, administration, management, and reporting

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and translating requirements into system solutions that take into account technical, schedule, cost, security, and policy constraints.

  • Experience facilitating Technical Exchange Meetings to establish tactical schedules, Concept Of Operations, briefing documents, action items lists. This experience should also include supporting the creation and dissemination of essential documentation.

  • Ability to coordinate operational maintenance, point releases, and version upgrades while maintaining availability in accordance with established service level agreements.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, work backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria and story refinement/clarification

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting engineering end-to-end system efforts with proven ability to work with other engineers to meet immediate needs

  • Demonstrated experience working with software developers to determine technical direction or analyze solutions.

  • Briefing technical information to a range of audiences

  • Managing competing priorities and risks and managing risk management plans

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Experience with AWS and Cloud technologies

  • Experience with the client's Information Security Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes

  • Experience configuring systems to meet customer security requirements.

  • Experience developing and coordinating system-to-system interfaces across enterprise applications and data stores.

  • Experience with Big Data Technologies

  • Experience with operating and tasking using client’s change management systems such as SRS.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
