The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and fun team as a System Administrator Manager, leading the charge in engineering, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge enterprise business applications for a government customer. You'll have the chance to work with Windows, Linux, and AWS environments while mentoring a small team of administrators. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape the future of cloud-native applications and drive technological innovation in a mission-critical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of administrators, assigning tasks and engineering projects.

  • Engineer and administer cloud services for hosting cloud-native applications.

  • Contribute to application and database migration activities.

  • Develop automation scripts for system build-out, maintenance, and configuration.

  • Manage system updates, security patches, and anti-virus deployments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues.

  • Maintain web application hosting systems, including servers and development tools.

  • Ensure system reliability and uptime through monitoring and performance optimization.

  • Manage system configuration in line with contract and customer requirements.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with security personnel to ensure compliance with ICD 503 and customer-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • An active NRO TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

  • Security+ Certification (IAT level 2 or higher).

  • Proven leadership and management experience.

  • Advanced AWS cloud services expertise.

  • Strong skills in system engineering and project planning.

  • Proficiency in database administration.

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and IIS.

  • Linux system administration skills.

  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.

  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.

Desired:

  • AWS Certification (Solutions Architect – Associate or SysOps).

  • Experience with advanced AWS features (Auto Scaling, ELB, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS).

  • In-depth knowledge of various Linux distributions.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, JSON, BASH, Python).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps Server • Understanding of ICD 503 requirements.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
