GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry.  We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time.  Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground.  These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. GA-CCRi is seeking Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our Object Based Custody team, shaping the future of situational awareness capabilities for our customers. Leverage your experience in software engineering, systems engineering, and product development to ensure programs deliver high quality products on time. Oversee execution of software development team and assist in representing CCRi to customers. Lead and Influence our growing teams and shape the future of edge tracking and intelligence integration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Influence the overall vision and goals of the edge portfolio within the organization.

  • Develop long-term strategies and initiatives to enhance capabilities against a range of products.

  • Deliver and support core backend software engineering features and products, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives.

  • Oversee architecture of robust systems incorporating advanced integration with payload software and other intelligence community software.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and advancements to keep the organization at the forefront of innovations.

  • Lead the development and deployment of software systems, ensuring adherence to software compliance standards.

  • Design and guide the implementation of scalable architectures for real-time and batch data processing.

  • Document technical concepts, system architectures, and implementation details in a clear and concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Supervise and guide the output of software engineers.

  • Formulate plans and guide implementation of software solutions including language, coding, platform, resource requirements, testing, and documentation. 

  • Support plans, typically long term, for application development and deployment.

  • Coordinate deployment of enterprise applications including cross-platform compliance. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Communicate with domain experts, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Represent the company as the prime technical contact on contracts and/or projects.

  • Interact with external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations. 

  • Contribute towards the continuous integration and improvement of enterprise solutions including build pipeline support, debugging, maintenance, and updates to ensure viability in an evolving environment. 

  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. 

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. 

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret security clearance, SCI eligible, and willing to take a CI polygraph.

  • Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. 

  • Experience with containerization architectures such as Docker Compose or Kubernetes.

  • Supporting experience to execute against database technologies such as PostgreSQL.

  • Experienced with Git or other software version control systems.

  • Experienced with Java or other object oriented programming language

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (Gitlab CI/CD, ArgoCD, CircleCI, Jenkins).

  • Capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact, as well as providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals. 

  • Customer focused, able to formulate plans based on the development of innovative new designs in resolving advanced software development problems. 

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. 

  • Able to work extended hours as required. 

Desired Skills and Experience  

  • Prior professional experience in software development role.

  • Comfortable working with Linux systems on a daily basis.

  • Interest analytics, and/or machine learning.

  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community and DoD mission sets.

  • CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to get certified.

  • Capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact, as well as providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.

Salary Range

$140,000-$220,000
