The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a skilled Microsoft SQL Engineer in support of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The candidate will join a team of engineers responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Solution. The SQL Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Microsoft SQL Server backend for the UEM application toolset. The UEM solution shall be capable of managing all server and workstation endpoints.
On the EITaaS program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
Responsibilities:
CACI is seeking a SQL Systems Engineer who will provide expertise and a specialized SQL related focus to an applications team managing a mission that enables enterprise device management for the Unites States Air Force. This position will be supporting management of classified endpoints and is expected to report on-site.
Implementation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL-based systems and tools
Integration of application data (MS SQL DB) to automation tools and CMDB
Identification and collection of machine and non-machine data sets
Support creation of custom reports
Collaborating with other administrators and analysts to enhance development of actionable business intelligence, troubleshoot performance issues, and combat threats
Educating management and peers about SQL related issues (performance, limitations, design requirements, etc.)
Maintaining compliance with security regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Security Clearance is required
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience (additional 5+ years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for degree, for total of 15+ years of experience)
7 Years minimum of demonstrated experience with engineering, deploying, maintaining, and utilizing SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Clustering, and Active Directory
Demonstrated knowledge of T-SQL and database environments
Ability to research and clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, recommended solutions
Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking, problem-solving, and working multiple tasks concurrently
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment
Experience working in DOD classified networks
Experience hardening MS SQL databases in DOD environments (STIGs, RMF requirements, etc.)
Desired:
Experience utilizing command-line interfaces, scripting, and queries
Experience with task automation via PowerShell, Python, Bash, and REST
Experience integrating applications/databases with ServiceNow automation
Experience with incident management, change management, and problem management business processes

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$102,900 - $216,200
