The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a skilled PowerBI Data Developer in support of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional who can lead complex PowerBI projects, mentor team members, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of enterprise-level PowerBI solutions, develop and maintain complex data models, reports, and dashboards.
On the EITaaS program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level PowerBI solutions to meet DAF mission requirement. Manage the entire dashboard(s) lifecycle, from request to deployment to sunsetting for improved reporting.
Develop and maintain complex data models, reports, and dashboards
Serve as the go-to expert for advanced DAX formulas and M query language
Architect and optimize ETL processes for large-scale data integration
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PowerBI solutions with business strategies
Establish best practices, standards, and governance for PowerBI development
Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables
Develop tabular, multidimensional models compatible with warehouse standards
Experience working with data gateway, data integration, self-service data preparation
Assist business users with functional and data requirements to enhance data models
Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
Lead training sessions and knowledge transfer initiatives
Stay at the forefront of PowerBI developments and industry trends
Meet regularly with stakeholders to identify business needs.
Communicate effectively and collaboratively with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have Active Secret Clearance.
10+ Years of relevant experience (bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
Deep expertise in DAX, M, and SQL, with the ability to optimize complex queries
Extensive experience with data modeling techniques and star schema implementation
Proven track record of leading large-scale PowerBI projects
Strong understanding of data warehouse architectures and ETL processes
Experience with PowerBI administration, including security models and deployment pipelines
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Outstanding communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Desired:
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or other cloud-based data platforms
Knowledge of machine learning integration within PowerBI
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for report management
Experience in a consultative role, providing PowerBI expertise to clients or internal departments
DoD 8140 compliance; Data Analyst Associate and Power Platform Solution Architect certifications are highly desirable

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,400 - $198,300
