Overview:
Are you a dynamic systems engineer with a passion for cutting-edge geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) technologies? Do you have hands-on experience with NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) and NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) sensors? We're looking for a talented mid-level systems engineer to join our innovative team and help build the next generation of geospatial solutions. In this role, you’ll dive deep into requirements engineering, solution development, system integration, and analysis, working with the latest tech in the field to ensure critical GEOINT capabilities are delivered to support national security and defense missions.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate across government and industry teams to design and implement systems that drive mission success in the NSG (National System of Geospatial-Intelligence) and ASG (Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence).
Lead the development of system solutions, ensuring the integration of state-of-the-art geospatial intelligence systems and technologies.
Be part of the action, helping translate mission-critical customer needs into practical systems and solutions that shape the future of GEOINT.
Analyze and enhance complex system architectures, looking for opportunities to automate, improve, and optimize workflows.
Work with cutting-edge cloud services and hybrid infrastructures to advance geospatial services, ensuring seamless and scalable solutions.
Assist in shaping technical strategies, project management, risk assessments, and design interfaces for advanced GEOINT systems.
Engage in systems integration activities to ensure all components work together seamlessly.
Skills & Experience:
Required:
A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Solid, hands-on experience with systems engineering in government or industry, particularly in large, complex system environments like GEOINT.
Experience with DoD/IC Acquisition, requirements processes, and managing large systems of systems or cloud/hybrid infrastructures.
Proven work experience in systems engineering, with a focus on sensor technologies and GEOINT solutions.
Must have a TS/SCI
Must work in Chantilly, VA onsite Springfield could be an option
Bonus Points For:
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and relevant tools.
Experience with software development frameworks or languages.
INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
Prior hands-on experience working with geospatial intelligence systems, sensors, or relevant NGA/NRO/NSG technologies.
Familiarity with photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, or related fields.
Active participation in professional organizations like USGIF, ASPRS, or OGC.
