Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a M365 Architect with extensive experience designing, implementing, and securing Microsoft Office 365 deployments to provide support for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. This position will be reporting full-time onsite in either the Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, MD office.

As a M365 Architect, you will work as part of a team, will support and participate in governance discussions, requirements gathering, analysis, and propose technical solutions to implement, monitor, and maintain long term compliance with tenant baseline configurations across multiple unclassified and classified tenants. To facilitate this effort, the candidate should have extensive experience developing enterprise policies for internal and external content sharing and collaboration across all O365 core services (Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint). This includes hands-on experience implementing and monitoring controls across the suite of O365 Admin Centers.

HOW A M365 ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Using DevSecOps approaches to apply automation of tenant configurations using PowerShell, REST API, etc.

  • Guide automation engineers in automated deployments and monitoring of baseline configurations

  • Requirements gathering, tracking tasks, assigning resources, and ensuring timely delivery of desired configurations.

  • Working with multiple Tenant Owners, Collaboration Partners, and Department Leadership to establish new baselines, define vendor priorities, and present findings to all levels within the Department

  • Support the development of cross functional or large-scale information systems to include enterprise architectures

  • Design system architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements

  • Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance

  • Perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED :

  • CLEARANCE : Active DoD Secret clearance (with ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret)

  • CERTIFICATION : IAT Level II certification

  • EDUCATION : Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

  • YEAR'S EXPERIENCE: 8+ years experience

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong background in Microsoft 365

  • Expertise in implementing, ideally for DoD customers, including the following:

  • --- 3+ Years managing Office 365 services in a large-scale environment

  • --- Experience with commercial cloud services

  • SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • LOCATION : ONSITE - reporting in either Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, MD

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
