Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking an Information Assurance-Security Specialist to support KDS and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support customer’s ability to comply with cyber security and system security requirements to safeguard sensitive data and maintain operational continuity

  • Support development of cyber security policies and plans to identify and respond to threats and issues in compliance with DoD regulations.

  • Ability to present and report to client’s and contract’s senior leaderships

  • Manage access controls and permissions

  • Implement and maintain security patches and updates

  • Provide incident and recovery support as necessary

  • Achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) for systems.

  • Support the OCIO/IMO with cyber security/IS security information to respond to taskers.

  • Maintain system, applications, and software to meet accreditation requirements of the RMF IAW DoDI 8510.01.

  • Ensure systems receive and maintain a full ATO/ATC for use on DoD networks

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Information Assurance, Cyber/Information Security

  • One (1) year of Certification and Accreditation and Cyber Risk Management experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of network threats, attacks, and other methods of exploitation, and the ability to deploy Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTPs) to mitigate, deter, and respond.

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security practices for cloud and virtual environments

  • Must be secret clearable.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
