Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Mail Services Specialist to support our business in Chantilly, Virginia .

This organization supports mission critical government programs. The Mail Services Specialist will be working with a multi-disciplinary team that quickly and effectively supports the facilities and construction needs for a U.S. Government customer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Receives, sorts, files, and delivers U.S., express, inter- and intra-company mail including certified, registered, and classified mail

  • Provides guidance and information to customers, assisting them with material input

  • Prepares, posts and sorts, by destination code, outgoing mail ensuring compliance with all postal and export regulations

  • Prepares packages and documents for shipment of classified mail

  • Interfaces with all internal and external customers and vendors to ensure reliability and compliance with all government and company regulations and policies

  • With general supervision, inspects all incoming packages to discover potentially dangerous materials in accordance with applicable standards

  • Notifies Security if suspicious package is observed

  • Assists in training less experienced mail specialists

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of customer service experience

  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35lbs on a frequent basis

  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with transportation and logistics services

  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks

  • Experience working in a mailroom

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $43,350 - $55,000
