Position Responsibilities
[Responsible for installing structured cabling systems and AV systems in the Baltimore, MD and DC Metro region, to include but not limited to: ]{arial",sans-serif"=""}
- Installation of low voltage communication cabling systems - consisting of copper, fiber optics, coaxial cables, and AV cabling within new commercial construction and occupied office space.
- Build out of telecommunication closets to include equipment racks, cabinets, ladder racking systems, patch panels, and AV equipment and devices.
- Learn to interpret audio-visual signal flow and architectural layout drawings.
- Read and understand blueprint measurements and specification sheets.
- Testing, labeling, and certification of new cable installations and AV equipment.
Position Requirements
- Professional, team-oriented work ethic; willingness to learn.
- Adherence to regular attendance and normal scheduled hours; willing to work overtime, often on short notice.
- Familiarity and the ability to work with various hand tools.
- Ability to work on ladders of varying heights.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening process that includes a background investigation, drug screen, and acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
