Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support KDS and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity.

Koniag Data Solutions is looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to develop, automate, and manage CI/CD configurations and pipelines for our government customer. This role involves supporting both internal and external stakeholders with client-side tools, troubleshooting back-end processes, and scheduling and implementing frequent releases. This is a full-time remote position

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide guidance for technical staff.

  • Experience working directly with engineering teams.

  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.

  • Experience using Agile methodology to deliver products.

  • Experience with collecting requirements, reviewing and help writing functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets.

  • Coordinate interdependencies across project teams.

  • Obtain and provide visibility into progress and impediments, escalating concerns where appropriate.

  • Summarize team objectives, iteration objectives and program objectives and communicate them across project teams.

  • Coach teams and stakeholders in lean/agile practices and mindset.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within and around the team (release & sprint planning, user stories, backlog grooming, Agile testing, etc.).

  • Identify and remove organization and team impediments and help resolve issues and conflicts – Shield the team from external interference.

  • Facilitate system demonstrations.

  • Solid understanding of DevSecOps tools and concepts.

  • Ability to write and review detailed documentation (requirements documents, weekly/monthly reports, meeting notes, etc.).

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent communication (written and verbal), excellent time management skills.

  • Familiarity with application lifecycle management (ALM), information management and content management applications.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as working with a team

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Must be Secret clearable

  • Experience managing or working with low-code platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, ServiceNow

  • Proficiency in Terraform, GitLab, Fargate, Packer, and CI/CD best practices.

  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices.

  • Knowledge of cloud security concepts, tools, and automation.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js, Python, and Bash.

  • Ability to develop custom software and scripts as needed.

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development.

  • Experience with source code management tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable in Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum.

  • Object Oriented design and implementation experience.

  • Knowledge of configuration management practices.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.

  • Must be secret clearable.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
