Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Chantilly, Virginia

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the accounts receivable team, including reporting, collections, and customer service. This role will also require maintaining strong relationships with customers and sales staff to resolve payment issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable team, ensuring efficiency and productivity

• Monitor and report on top customers' past due balances and assist with collections issues

• Assign tasks and realign work duties as necessary to maintain team efficiency

• Resolve customer disputes by reviewing sales contracts and customer purchase orders

• Facilitate daily accounts receivable collections calls with the team

• Maintain all documentation related to collections efforts, including notes from customer communications

• Support the sales team and other internal associates when customers do not reply or dispute an invoice

• Review all documentation supporting a sales order for collections, including proof of delivery, sales tax, freight, etc.

• Prepare executive reports on collections activities for senior management and parent company

• Manage the close-out responsibilities for contracts. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Proficiency in 3M

• Proficient with Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur

• CRM knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Proficient in Accounts Receivables Systems

• Familiarity with Costpoint

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas

• Proven supervisory experience in Accounts Receivable

• Strong leadership abilities and team management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

• Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy in work
