Actalent QC Lab Technician in Chanhassen, Minnesota

Job Title: QC Lab TechnicianJob Description

As a QC Lab Technician, you will perform various QC laboratory tests on incoming raw materials using FTIR, sensory, and wet chemistry techniques per United States Pharmacopeia (USP) test methods. You will also enter test sample results into ERP or Quality systems and release products from Quality Hold. General laboratory support functions such as cleaning glassware, collecting samples from other departments, and lab cleaning are also part of this role. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure a steady workflow and handle other responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC laboratory tests on incoming raw materials using FTIR, sensory, and wet chemistry techniques per USP test methods.

  • Enter test sample results into ERP or Quality systems and release products from Quality Hold.

  • Provide general laboratory support functions, including cleaning glassware and collecting samples from other departments.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a steady workflow.

  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and wet chemistry techniques.

  • Experience with sample preparation and analysis using FTIR, pH meter, and sensory tests.

  • Understanding of GMP, laboratory practices, bacteria culture, aseptic technique, quality control, and quality assurance.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in chemistry or a related field.

  • 0-12 months of laboratory experience (can be from school or industry).

  • Willingness to show initiative (verified by references).

  • Experience working cross-functionally (verified by references).

Work Environment

You will primarily work in a lab/office setting, with occasional plant sampling needed in the manufacturing space. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. You will support both the micro and analytical labs in a fast-paced environment that is always changing. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
