Emerson Human Resources Specialist III in Chanhassen, Minnesota

If you are a customer focused administrative specialist with experience in benefits and leave of absence administration - this HR Specialist role is for you! The HR Specialist III will provide Health and Welfare benefit administration, 401(k) plan administration and Leave of Absence support for Measurement Solutions, a business of Emerson in Chanhassen, MN. You will also provide general front-line support for incoming questions from employees around a variety of HR topics. This is an exciting role to help provide key HR support for 4,000 employees in the U.S.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • 50% Benefits Administration

  • Support enterprise health and wellness programs, educating employees, providing benefits guidance and enrollment assistance

  • Support annual enrollment, conduct system testing in Oracle HCM, organize vendor fairs

  • Provide 401(k) plan administration, employee education and enrollment support

  • Maintain up to date benefit information on company intranet

  • 25% Leave of Absence Administration

  • Provide employee leave of absence support, claims monitoring, payroll input and communications with supervisors, employees, HR and vendors

  • 25% HR Administrative Duties

  • Provide frontline guidance, and support, and act as the first point of contact for employee queries by addressing questions related to policies, HR programs, paychecks, employee records, and personal information updates. Serve as the subject matter expert of these topics for walk-up traffic.

  • Train and work cross-functionally with other Human Resources Specialists to provide back-up assistance as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an administrative support role; of which at least 2 years must be in Human Resources, preferably in benefits & retirement plans

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Oracle HCM Experience

  • 401(k) plan administration

  • Annual Enrollment Experience

  • Experience administering a health and welfare portfolio including medical, dental, flex spending and others

  • Experience supporting a large manufacturing company with employees across the country
