Aston Carter Sr. Financial Analyst in Chandler, Arizona

Job Description:

Leading Semiconductor Technology company is seeking to add an experienced financial analyst to manage the financial forecasting and performance of a variety of large and small installation projects as well as the department cost performance of the various service and support departments. The position will report directly to the P&L owner and have dotted line reporting to the corporate accounting team. This role is instrumental in summarizing all of the various activities so the GM and corporate team have accurate and timely financial information to make critical decisions. This role will also be responsible to coach the leaders of the various teams in cost control, forecasting methodology, and financial management.

The role is a key contributor in the CFA division and a direct advisor to the business team. This role is involved in key decisions are large impact transactions and must be able to analyze and interpret a large amount of information from a variety of sources. It requires a large degree of independent activity gathering information, generating analysis, and presenting the information to inform and get feedback. This role requires someone with the mental capability to integrate a large amount of complex information to understand, analyze, and make recommendations for the direction of the business.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Create annual budget in cooperation with the corporate team.

  • Develop short-term and long-term forecasts for business performance based on feedback from operations, service, and sales departments.

  • Identify opportunities and risks within the division related to project spending, departmental cost management, and other areas to provide insight to managers and directors.

  • Partner with the GM to align the team to the financial direction of the business and make decisions around hiring, support requirements, issues, and other matters requiring a change in direction.

  • Create budget plans for each project, including start dates, project completion by month, and project closure plans, to establish monthly revenue forecasts. Develop business line budgets, forecasts, and analysis for service, parts, and installation businesses to assist the team in making decisions on price increases, strategy, and other business decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

3-5 years of Sr. Financial Analyst experience, performing FP&A, forecasting and financial modeling

2+ years of direct financial reporting and analyzing

2+ years of Direct P&L experience and management

Experience supporting manufacturing or Construction Industries

1+ years of Project Cost Accounting (Accounting on inventory: specifically construction)

1+ years of giving reports and presentations to boards or directors to explain cost plans and reasonings.

Experience in SAP or Great Plains and ERP Migration experience

Must be highly independent, analytical, and solutions-oriented to resolve challenges and pivot to support strict deadlines

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in Chandler, Arizona.

Requires some travel to and from North Carolina.
