Compensation and Schedule for the Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Full-time and Part-time, onsite, $16.50-$21 per hour, night shift differential, day and night shifts available after training, rotating every other weekend including holidays. Join a growing hospital!

Required Qualifications of the Phlebotomist

• 6+ months of recent hospital phlebotomy experience required

• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test required

• Completed phlebotomy externship required

• Phlebotomy certification (ASCP or AMT) from an accredited agency preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Phlebotomist

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

• Input patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
