Job Title: Clean Room (1st & 2nd shift)

Job Description

Candidates will be using small tools to complete mechanical assembly of electronic components under a microscope. They will be completing these micro assemblies per work instructions with very small tools, tweezers, blades, and pronges under a microscope in the clean room.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect work for defects

  • Replace parts as needed or directed

  • Inspect product using a microscope

  • Basic Component ID Certification

  • Ability to follow documentation and procedures

  • Ability to read and comprehend English

  • Must be able to work with a microscope

Essential Skills

  • PCB, electronics, microelectronics, blueprints, PWB, cleanroom, clean room

  • Microscope usage

  • Assembly, operator, quality, solder, wire harness

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferably having a minimum of 1 year working in Electronics Manufacturing, but not required

  • Familiar with using hand tools like torque drives, hand cutters, screwdrivers

  • Experience working with Epoxy, RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) Silicone

  • Comfortable sitting and looking under a microscope for 70+ percent of the day

  • Basic math skills and ability to recognize and distinguish colors

  • Knowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components onto Printed Circuit Boards is a plus

  • Able to perform mechanical assembly of small electrical components

  • Able to use epoxy and RTV or any adhesives as needed (these may be odorous, candidates must be okay with this) - all is non-toxic

Work Environment

Candidates will be performing mechanical assembly in a clean room, working on high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) that go into drills used a mile below the ground. Positions are available on 1st shift (6AM - 2:30PM), 2nd shift (2:00PM - 11PM with a 10% shift differential), and 3rd shift (10:30PM - 6:30AM with a 20% shift differential). Candidates must be okay with starting at 10PM and working until 7AM for the 3rd shift opening and be okay with a decent amount of overtime after training is complete, including Saturday and Sunday. Employees will be working in a clean room and must wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and a hair net. Employees cannot wear makeup, fake nails, or nail polish and must wear close-toed shoes and pants to work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.
