Join Egan Company as an Systems and Financial Analyst within our Accounting team! In this role you will assist with driving operational efficiency and financial performance through the effective use of technology and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, a keen eye for detail, construction project management experience, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex business problems. Responsibilities: The basic responsibilities of the Systems and Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to the following: Analyze project performance data to identify cost trends, variances, and ways to maximize profitability. Collaborate effectively with various teams, stakeholders, and decision makers and build and maintain trust and credibility with colleagues at all levels. Assist project managers and business group leaders with cost estimation, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for new projects. Focus on significant/major projects throughout the lifecycle, identifying and reporting on variances from the estimate, productivity measurement, and project gain/fade. Identify and assess potential financial risks associated with projects (material price fluctuations, labor shortages, bulk buyouts). Monitor and identify opportunities to improve cash flow, including under-billing situations, unfavorable contract schedules of values, adjustments to proposals, and the ability to bill for stored materials. Prepare and update revenue and profitability forecast models based on organizational project backlog to identify capacity overages or shortfalls at the business group levels. Support management by providing financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making. Work with project managers and business group leaders to identify and deliver training around improving operating procedures and system utilization. Look for ways to improve financial data collection from projects and identify ways to use that data. Communicate effectively with project managers, business group leaders, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations. Stay up-to-date on relevant financial analysis techniques and industry best practices. Provide systems training and support. Play a significant role in the implementation and optimization of the ERP system; identify ways to configure and customize the ERP system to meet the evolving needs of the business. Visit jobsites regularly/as needed. Other duties and projects as needed and assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field. 7+ years of construction project financial analysis experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Qualifications: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and articulate complex project financial data. Experience with ERP systems and project management applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to build consensus and foster collaboration. Advanced skill-level using Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Working Conditions: Performance of duties will be in an office environment with visits to job sites as needed. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. When visiting jobsites, expect exposure to loud noise, dirt, and the elements, along with climbing ladders/stairs, walking on uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
