Egan Company Payroll Specialist in Champlin, Minnesota

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Egan Company team in Champlin, MN. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing weekly union payroll and various reporting, across Egan groups. This is a flexible, hybrid position allowing you to work a blend of in the office and at home. Responsibilities: The basic responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist include but are not limited to the following: Process weekly union payroll Prepare monthly union benefit reporting Weekly certified payroll reporting Monthly utilization reporting Prevailing wage reporting and compliance Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers Conduct the payroll portion of new field leader orientations Employee setup All other duties as assigned Position Requirements: A two-year college degree in Accounting (preferred) 2-5 years experience in a related industry required 3-5 years experience with in-house, full cycle, multi-state payroll Qualifications: Experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, is preferred Experience in a paperless environment Previous certified payroll experience Proficiency in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team environment Strong customer service and communication skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize/organize daily workload Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired OUR SUCCESS IS SHAPED BY THE STRENGTH OF OUR TEAM At Egan, our shared passion and pride are redefining the industry standard of customer care.
