Egan Company Labor Manager in Champlin, Minnesota

Overview: Egan Company is seeking a Labor Manager to join our Service group in Champlin, MN. As a Labor Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing the coordination of our Limited Energy workforce within our Service group, ensuring the timely and successful completion of our projects. Responsibilities: The basic responsibilities of the Labor Manager include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate everyday activities of the Limited Energy field workforce, including hiring, separations, performance management, new-hire orientation, training, etc.. Develop and foster relationships with project managers and other partners through quality performance of work. Communicate effectively with the field workforce and Egan office staff, labor union leaders and managers, and internal and external customers. Understand and execute union labor collective bargaining agreements on behalf of Egan Company. Organize, schedule, and coordinate locations of individual field employees. Provide labor workforce projections based on project manager schedules and input. Work with the leadership team to develop and enforce installation standards. Onboard and set up new Service field staff. Act as backup support by contacting the primary on-call technician or coordinating with other available technicians to promptly address after-hour calls. Requirements: 2+ years of experience with the electrical trade Required: High school diploma; Preferred: Two or four year degree in related field Qualifications: Two years of construction-related experience, including a minimum of two years supervising/managing people. Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the construction industry and collective bargaining agreements. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others and build strong relationships. Problem solving and time management abilities. Strong organizational skills. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to perform standard mathematical calculations. The ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately. Working Conditions Performance of duties will mostly be in the office with visits to shops and job sites as needed. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements; climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected on job sites.
