Job Description

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Provides shipping & receiving services and performs warehouse support services in compliance with contractual policies and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify and process incoming and outgoing materials; complete all required forms, paperwork and logs related to pickups and deliveries;

  • Unload and unpack all deliveries to ERDC-Champaign Site, verify the quantity of items received are accurate and in accordance with bills of lading and/or shipping invoices for that shipment;

  • Maintain a log of deliveries for all goods;

  • Deliver supplies to individual offices as requested within one (1) working day of receipt;

  • Apply barcodes to each individual equipment item within one (1) working day after receipt;

  • Serve as a central receiving and rerouting point for all ERDC-Champaign Site invoices;

  • Process accounts payable inquiries from within and outside ERDC-Champaign Site within one (1) working day, including but not limited to inquiries regarding purchases of research services and equipment.

  • Process all contract vouchers.

  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors.

  • Maintain up-to-date files including contract balance information.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma, or equivalent in experience, required;

  • Computer proficiency required, with ability to function in database, email, and Internet environments

  • 2+ years of warehouse/shipping and receiving operations experience preferred;

  • Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and maneuver heavier loads using provided equipment;
