F&M Trust Part time Courier in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

Responsible for transporting Bank transaction documents and other Bank- related materials; transporting mail to and from the Post Office; using and caring for Bank vehicles; and, coordinating and participating in substitute Courier scheduling as needed.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Transports Bank transaction documents and other Bank-related materials within the Community Office network:

  • Picks up and delivers documents from assigned Community Offices on a prearranged schedule.
  • Delivers supplies to Community Offices as needed.
  • Transports cash and coin within established security guidelines.

     

Transports mail to and from the Post Office:

  • Picks up Bank mail from the Post Office daily at defined times and sorts into mail bins upon return.
  • Signs for certified and registered letters on behalf of the Bank.
  • Delivers mail to the Post Office daily at defined times.

     

Uses and maintains Bank-owned vehicles:

  • Operates Bank-owned vehicles safely and efficiently during Courier runs.
  • Maintains Bank vehicles to insure they remain in good working condition.
  • Reports any vehicle problems to the department manager.

     

Assists various Bank departments with special projects; such as special mailings, and delivering marketing materials.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

 

A high school diploma or equivalent.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

Basic reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; ability to follow basic instructions and communicate effectively; a valid driver's license is required.

 

*PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: *Ability to:

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the assigned schedule for the essential function of the job
  • drive various vehicles within a specified schedule;
  • lift items weighing at least fifty (50) pounds;
  • move freely from one office location to another in order to perform courier duties;
  • use fine motor movements when driving vehicle;
  • express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word when interacting with community office staff;
  • receive detailed information through oral or written communication;
  • see clearly to drive;
  • stretch and bend when performing courier duties; and,
  • write legibly.
