WellSpan Health Neurologist in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

Neurologist

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, Chambersburg, PA

Schedule: Full Time

General Summary

Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.

WellSpan Health is seeking a board qualified/ board certified General Neurologist for our practice that is moving to Waynesboro, PA - close to the Maryland state line.

Position Highlights:

  • We are moving our Hagerstown, MD Neurology practice to Pennsylvania

  • General neurologist position that is 100% outpatient

  • Work in a shared medical suite in a new building

  • Walk into an established patient panel

  • Schedule is Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm; we are open to a 4-day/FT work week

  • Epic utilized at all WellSpan locations

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and

  • Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and

  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Teaching skills.
