Medical Equipment Service Technician - Chambersburg- Full-Time

Location: WellSpan Health, Chambersburg, PA

Schedule: Full Time

Shift Information

Monday - Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm No weekends.

General Summary

Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and routine maintenance of all company owned or patient owned equipment either in the home or at the EME warehouse. Abides by all regulatory guidelines set forth by governing agencies. Maintains records for equipment according to EME and outside agency regulations. Assists in daily deliveries when needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs equipment maintenance on EME owned and customer owned equipment in accordance with regulatory agencies.

  • Monitors and receives incoming equipment and supplies for accuracy with requisition including correctness of item, quantity and condition.

  • Responsible for notifying either the Senior Service Tech or BioMed/Warehouse Manager if there are equipment or supplies are below par levels.

  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains records associated with each piece of equipment to abide by all regulations.

  • Assists in training of new service technicians.

  • Performs yearly checks of maintenance testing equipment and record all documentation.

  • Develops and maintains technical knowledge of home medical equipment respiratory services provided by EME.

  • Develops a basic reimbursement knowledge of products and services provided by EME.

  • Assists with the responsibility for maintaining the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Assists with delivery tech duties on an as needed basis.

  • Assists delivery techs by pulling product for the days deliveries.

  • Receives product when needed from shipping companies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the BioMed/Warehouse Manager.

  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Medical field experience. Required

  • 1 year Medical field experience in Home Medical Equipment. Preferred

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
