Confidential Employer Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

*Location: *Keystone Sheets, 1465 Nitterhouse Drive, Chambersburg, PA

Essential Job Functions:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and general maintenance of mechanical systems of plant/production machinery.

Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.

  • Level and parallel rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
  • Complete regular inspection of equipment to help identify mechanical/electrical issues or concerns and disassemble, repair, replace bearings, seals, gears, etc. as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Analyze, trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical problems of plant machinery using precision maintenance techniques.
  • Follow up with work orders to ensure the problem is repaired properly.
  • Perform maintenance function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM's.
  • Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, minimizing waste within set dates and times.
  • Work with maintenance crew to conduct maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, welding functions.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including federal and/or state required environmental systems, OSHA Safety and Health rules, fire and electrical safety codes and manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including Management, employees, and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read schematics and trouble-shoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLC's, and motors.
  • Strong maintenance, plumbing, electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.
  • Must be well organized and always keep the working area clean.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required, and attendance must be always exemplary. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirements.

Required Minimum Education & Experience:

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience; overall maintenance functions.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years related experience and/or training.
  • Corrugated experience.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
  • Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.
