Chadron State College Assistant Director Admissions in Chadron, Nebraska


Job Title: Assistant Director - Admissions

Nature of Work: On-campus professional who will coordinate recruitment programs designed to inform, attract, and enroll student to the College. This includes the development of an effective on-campus and off-campus visitation programs, follow-up activities for prospects, ambassador recruitment program, and other recruitment activities. This person works closely with the campus community to establish relationships for successful implementation of recruitment programs.

Examples of Work Performed:

Essential Duties: Strategically planning recruitment events and outreach with campus partners (academic, athletics, etc.) Includes presenting information regardingCSCbenefits and opportunities in one-on-one, small, and large groups settings. Coordinates, participate and facilitate assessment in recruitment activities and events; including on-campus; high school based; virtual events; campus visits; summer orientations; and group visits Counsel (via telephone, virtually, and in person) with prospective students and their families to encourage enrollment atCSC Create, develop, and maintain an effective working relationship with area high schools, community college staff, and community-based organizations as relates to the Chadron area

Assist administrators in tracking and analyzing prospect, recruitment and student data to meet recruitment outcomes set by the college Meet enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment events and areas Report progress of recruitment efforts on a regular basis Identify, plan and implement recruitment and on-boarding strategies for both campus-based as well as online students

Maintain appropriate follow-up communication with students regarding event information and the status of their applications for admission Create and manage communication workflows for visits, campus events, and other recruitment activities.

Establish and develop effective processes for the Campus Visit Coordinator position. Develop with Campus Visit Coordinator an effective recruitment, hiring, and training practices for Admissions Ambassadors

Assist in the development, marketing and promotion for ongoing recruitment and enrollment events/activities which may include but not limited to: on-campus recruitment events, registration and orientation events, Scholastic Day, and Move-In Days

Work with College Relations to create, write, and edit marketing targeted to prospective students to communicate Chadron State College academic programs, affordability, admissions process, visits/events, etc. Marketing mediums can include content written for the web, email, video scripts, or social media

Secondary Duties: Assist with new student registration programs Webpage administration and content as assigned Some travel, evening, and weekend hours required Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 3 years experience in successfully serving and working with diverse populations Willingness to travel to area locations and/or when needed for recruitment events, conferences, or community outreach

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in college admissions, public relations Experience in event planning Public speaking skills that include experience with diverse populations

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.

License and Certification Requirements: Valid driver's license

Salary Information: $45,000-$53,300
