General Manager, Retail Design Leader - Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania Ethan Allen Retail, Inc. looks to add a dynamic retail leader who will establish strategic goals and drive results within the Greater Philadelphia Market.  This Design Center Leader position is based in our large, company-owned Chadds Ford Design Center prominently located on Route 202.  This business serves the entire Delaware Valley, including the South Jersey Shore, Delaware Beach, and Eastern Shore Maryland. General Objectives Primarily responsible for the management, development, training, and motivation of the team while maintaining a high level of customer contact and achieving goals.  Actively coach to raise professionalism of the design services and assist with developing business plans with staff designers to increase market reach and revenue.  Work closely with each associate to manage design projects, client contacts and relationships, sales volume, Interior Designer effectiveness and overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive relevant work experience and practical interior design experience, or a combination of both. Proven sales background in FF&E, home furnishings, interior design, luxury goods and/or fashion. Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques. Supervisory experience required.

Other Requirements: An entrepreneurial attitude and approach with strong communication and organizational skills. This position requires team leadership and the ability to manage the design process including the ability to review and provide feedback on design projects using technical and creative skills in color and space planning. Ability to practice residential interior design. Demonstrated ability to train and coach for design, product knowled e, sales performance and customer service. Must be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends.
