Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Project Geologist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of geological and environmental tasks.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform various field and office tasks requiring the application of standard geological and environmental science principles and theories.

  • Assist in geologic and environmental analyses and interpretation, which may include hydrogeology and/or geochemistry.

  • Analyze and interpret environmental sample analysis results within the context of the geological setting.

  • Prepare figures of environmental data, potentiometric surface maps, geologic maps, and cross sections.

  • Develop materials and complete work plans or reports.

  • Assist in preparation of proposals and cost estimates and in soliciting bids from subcontractors/suppliers.

  • Work with project managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget.

  • Provide technical supervision or guidance to lower-level geologists or environmental scientists.

  • Serve in an advisory capacity to senior management on specific geology-related matters.

  • May manage site investigation projects of varying size.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field.

  • Greater than 15 years of related work experience.

  • Profession geologist registration.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Familiarity with related environmental rules and regulations (such as CERCLA, RCRA, etc.).

  • Ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement and to operate self-sufficiently.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.

  • Advanced data evaluation and site characterization experience in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, and contaminant transport.

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
