Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Engineering Systems Support Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to support Parson’s enterprise-wide Engineering Systems by deploying and managing engineering software for thousands of engineers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support all aspects of delivery, administration, customization, and maintenance of engineering and design applications.

  • Provide technical oversight and ensure interoperability of core systems and servers that align with specific enterprise ES products, including licensing management systems, collaboration systems, and other core ES delivery systems.

  • Support complex technical workflows and requirements for engineering applications to meet project delivery requirements.

  • Implement specialized, discipline-specific configuration and commissioning services ranging from BIM to Plant Design Systems.

  • Collaborate with clients, business partners, and other members ES and IT teams to identify and resolve issues related to specific engineering applications and complex ES systems.

  • Troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues, providing timely resolutions.

  • Support and provide technical assistance and to ES Support and IT staff members.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT.

  • 6+ years of progressive experience designing, developing, and maintaining software packages for deployment to Windows operating systems.

  • Experience with administration and support of technical architecture and performing project management to meet specific ES-related business requirements.

  • Experience deploying complex engineering systems. Requires knowledge of engineering requirements, user needs, system development, and scripting.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, take the initiative in identifying and resolving issues.

  • Close attention to detail and thoroughness.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with application virtualization technologies like Cloudpaging, Microsoft App-V, or VMware ThinApp

  • Strong understanding of Powershell or other scripting languages

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

  • Familiarity with MongoDB, SQL Server, or other database systems

  • General knowledge of engineering and design applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, ArcMap

  • Certifications relevant to the role (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional).

  • AEC industry certifications (E.g., Autodesk, Bentley, Intergraph and ESRI).

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
