Actalent QC Chemist in Central Islip, New York

Now Hiring a QC Chemist for a Pharmaceutical company located in Central Islip, NY!

Work Environment:

This role works in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment, where personal protective equipment is required, which may include uniforms, lab coats, safety glasses, respiratory protective equipment, hearing protection, etc. Work with or around solvents, powders, or other materials commonly found in a pharmaceutical laboratory or manufacturing facility is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine testing or other analysis in a specific group or department setting.

  • Conduct advanced testing and/or critical testing, as required.

  • Operate specialized equipment or conduct specialized skill testing.

  • Participate in investigation activities.

-Perform QC testing for newly approved products and new license transfers which consist of HPLC and dissolutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience using HPLC

  • Skilled and hands-on experience in ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV, HPLC, GC, IC & Dissolution instruments

  • Operate a computer and analytical instrument software, including Empower, Chromeleon, Lab solutions and LIMS

Schedule:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
