NBC Universal Global Client Specialist in Centennial, Colorado

The Technology and Operations team provides client services & order management to several organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Television Distribution, Universal Pictures Group and NBCU Global Networks. As part of the Technology Operations team, Global Client Operations serves as the liaison between various departments to fulfill content to all distribution outlets. The GCO Specialist will work closely with the various internal and external digital media groups, the 24x7 support team, the Media Operations Teams, the Advanced Media Products team, and Engineering to ensure the accurate and reliable distribution of content to secondary platforms and third-party clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage brand/client engagement for day-to-day publication of NBCU content to secondary distribution platforms/clients.

  • Lead the operational rigor across the entire digital supply chain from inbound content deliv.ery to NBCU facilities to outbound deliveries to multiplatform partners.

  • Coordinate content procurement through internal or external parties.

  • Audit orders/grids, ensure correct versions planned & go-live dates met.

  • Acting as primary point of escalation for programming changes, content issues, content revisions and/or special requests.

  • Communicating with clients and internal teams on package delivery transfers/issues for all distribution platforms.

  • Managing metrics, tracking and reconciliation of deliveries to all distribution platforms.

  • Understanding of various workflows in order to escalate issues to the proper clients.

  • Generation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and trainings to ensure success of our 24/7 support team.

  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Colorado applicants only, wage range: $60,000 - $66,000 (not bonus eligible).

  • BA/BS in a related field     

  • 2+ years’ experience in media or broadcast/entertainment operations

  • 1+ years’ experience in digital media     

  • 2+ years’ experience in client/account management or project management

  • 1+ year experience working with video distribution in a TV Broadcast environment    

  • 2+ years’ experience in enabling customer workflows and operations  

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and process mapping tools (e.g. Visio)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ year experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills     

  • Detail-oriented, clear thinking and adept at multi-tasking     

  • Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment     

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for interacting with senior leaders and global clients     

  • A respectful team player, who follows rules and policy, has good communication skills while maintaining a positive attitude      

  • Effectively flexible in approach, and responds well to pressure      

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and be project oriented     

  • Must be willing and able to work on any shift including, overnights, swing, or weekend as needed 

  • Experience in multiplatform digital content distribution (e.g. Broadband, iTunes, Hulu, etc.)     

  • Passion for new media distribution and keeping up to date with emerging platforms and the latest technology trends

  • Proven track record of impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal with strong attention to detail      

  • Experience interacting with clients, such as programming, post houses and producers
