Arapahoe Douglas Works! Business Development Services Workforce Specialist - TGF in Centennial, Colorado
Description Manages workforce program activities, services and staff of the Arapahoe/Douglas Works! workforce programs.
Arapahoe/Douglas Works is a grant-funded organization that has been successfully operating for over 30 years. All positions are subject to grant funding availability.
Duties Partner with businesses, business associations, economic development organization, and chambers of commerce to increase awareness of workforce center opportunities.
*Facilitate discussions with the business community to encourage their participation in programs, services, hiring and job development needs. *Demonstrate professionalism when reaching out to workforce investment board and the business community to inform them of workforce center opportunities. *Proficient in conducting labor market analysis to determine target industry needs and develop industry profiles requested by businesses. *Outreach to targeted industries to assist in matching qualified candidates to potential employment opportunities. *Work with industry to assist in customizing hiring events for hard-to-fill occupations. *Demonstrate expertise with appropriate computer applications to assist in the execution of web-based outreach efforts, including but not limited to LinkedIn group management, career events, virtual job fairs, and other related activities. *Be an industry expert and familiar with obtaining information about specific industries through customer research, focus groups, surveys, professional associations, professional or industry newsletters, etc. and then assess information gathered to develop marketing strategies for business s *Knowledge and understanding of new and developing organizational strategies, and actively support, and participate in projects and other working committees. *Provide back-up support for specific tasks, projects, technology expertise and program services. *Coordinate job fairs, career fairs, business round tables and other events in relation to current industry hiring needs and trends. *Track all hiring events (attendees and how many hires), customized events and common core business services 11 core service codes on Connecting Colorado. *Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent, AA, or two-year certificate
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years supervisory experience working with economically, socially or culturally disadvantaged individuals in a counseling, training, vocational education, rehabilitation, teaching or related setting. Degrees in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or Business Administration will be given preference during the application process

Any equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and experience totaling six (6) years. Post-secondary education must include no less than 60 undergraduate semester credits; to meet these criteria, transcripts will be required during the application process
