About this Role

JOB SUMMARY:Administrative assistants are responsible for providing administrative support to their office and professionally representing the company in fulfilling their responsibilities. They ensure appropriate documentation is completed accurately and retained in accordance with applicable company policies, procedures and practices. They may assist with implementation and execution of certain employee and workforce processes and programs.

PAY: This is non-exempt/hourly position. The pay range is $24/hr to $30/hr.

LOCATION: This position is located in Meridian, CO.

What You'll Do

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Answers main phone and transfers to appropriate staff takes and distributes messages

  • Prepare outgoing mail for distribution

  • Fax, scan, and copy documents

  • Maintain office filing and storage systems

  • Update and maintain databases such office contact list and mailing lists

  • Retrieve information when requested

  • Type documents, reports and correspondence

  • Coordinate and organize appointments and meetings

  • Assist with event planning and implementation when needed

  • Monitor and maintain office supplies

  • Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced

  • Performed work related errands as requested, such as going to the post office and bank

  • Keep office area clean and tidy

  • Act as back up for executive assistant

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – (THE EMPLOYEE SHOULD BE ABLE TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMODATIONS):

    Be able to lift 20 lbs occasionally, able to walk up and down stairs, sit for prolonged periods of time, spend prolonged periods in front of a computer, adequate hearing/sight for answering phones and writing/typing messages

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.

  • Extensive knowledge of office procedures.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in office administration or related field preferred.

  • At least three years of related experience required.

  • Drug Free Workplace – must take and pass pre-employment drug test

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in handling multiple projects

  • Familiar with technology and proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and other software)

  • Provide quick, accurate, and helpful responses to questions in an approachable and friendly tone

  • Positive outlook, flexibility, and resilience to constant change

  • Ability to work with/keep confidential information

  • High sense of integrity – job requires being honest and ethical

    LICENSES:Valid Driver’s License

    PRE-SCREEN:Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and MVR check.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $24.00/Hr. - USD $30.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
