Our team has some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry and work with all the most recent technologies in embedded software development.

Our team is looking for a Software Engineering Intern. As an intern on our team you will be involved in the development of state-of-the-art communications systems by supporting platform-level software initiatives for our sophisticated software defined radios that enable pilots and soldiers to transfer data, voice and imagery over the air.

We do a lot of work in C++, C, Python and embedded Linux so an understanding of these areas will help the candidate come up to speed quickly.

What You Will Do:

  • Contribute to team designing and developing embedded software solutions and communications products

  • Support team activities such as requirement generation, software implementation, test case development, verification efforts

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Some experience with languages such as C, C++, Python and/or Java

  • Some experience working in a Linux development environment

  • Some experience coding in an embedded environment

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming

  • Knowledge of multithreading

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
