Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Receive and track items from receipt to production/assembly. Track and document the movement of inventory items through the production process. Tag and label items to ensure inventory accuracy. Pick and issue items required for production/assembly. Pick and prepare all orders for shipment: Box, wrap, and pack the merchandise according to relevant procedures and standards. Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items. Operate adequate inventory management tools (i.e., forklift, hand truck, etc.). Enter data into inventory and logistics software programs. Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested. 15% of the time will be spent on a forklift, while the other 85% will involve pulling orders, entering data into the computer system, assisting production workers with materials/parts, and verifying orders for accuracy.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Work Environment

Core Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm; optional overtime. HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE. Non-union position with benefits. The team consists of 110 total employees, with around 5 people on the 2nd shift. The role involves working in a non-climate controlled environment. The company manufactures machines that produce duct work, servicing clients globally.
