This role is key team member in the Data Enablement / Operations Technology Program Management organization within the Avionics strategic business unit at Collins Aerospace.

This role’s focus will be blending Industry 4.0 strategies, Smart Manufacturing technologies, and digital solutions to create a modernized factory with near real-time operational awareness. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic champion of advanced technologies, tools, and analytics.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Continually update skills and industry knowledge earning recognition as a subject matter expert who influences the way thing are done.

  • Develop and leverage cooperative and constructive working relationships effectively managing senior relationships across all the Business and Functional areas maintaining a strong cultural awareness.

  • Establish new technology concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for research, development, integration, and test.

  • Generate insights and draw data driven business conclusions that aid in prioritization and focus areas.

  • Leverage data to champion and support strategic decision making across the organization articulating the vision of transformation efforts and instilling a sense of mission.

  • Disseminate and apply data and information to continually mature our operational awareness.

  • Collaborate with operations and executive leadership to achieve operation goals and strategic vision.

  • Own and direct all program phases from inception through completion.

  • Collaborate with the customer to gather requirements and specifications to create a clearly defined scope and drive the project to successful completion providing timely and tailored communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Set priorities and align project priorities with departmental strategy.

  • Own the cost, schedule and performance of programs or subsystems of major programs.

  • Collect and present weekly and monthly metrics in actionable data stories.

  • Develop mentor and coach emerging peers.

  • Travel up to 10% of the time for project-related tasks to other Avionics sites as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • MS Excel skills including index match, v-look ups, pivot tables, sum if & count if, and concatenate functions.

  • Experience in a programming language such as Python or R.

  • Experience with data visualization - especially using Tableau and PowerBI tools.

  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
