Role Overview:

The Cybersecurity Manager position will lead and manage all aspects of cybersecurity for the classified programs at the Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility cage in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security laws and regulations. This role will execute as Lead Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for the Cedar Rapids cage code assignment with DCSA. This position also leads, develops, and mentors a talented group of cybersecurity professionals who support these programs. Responsibilities include cybersecurity requirements stipulated by various United States government documents, including but not limited to RMF, JSIG, NIST, NISPOM, DAAPM, and associated NIST documents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the cybersecurity program governing the Mission Systems and Avionics portfolios at the Cedar Rapids site in compliance with applicable U.S. government laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Assigned as the Cage Code ISSM with DCSA for the Cedar Rapids area cage code, working directly with internal and external customers, assessors, and stakeholders.

  • Manage a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals responsible for the day-to-day cybersecurity compliance management, vulnerability mitigation, incident response, monitoring, auditing, training, and troubleshooting. Develop, implement, and update policies, plans, procedures, and standards that apply to all information systems within the relevant purview.

  • Effectively counsel and coordinate with U.S. government offices, internal engineering and program-specific customers, and other 3rd parties on matters associated with government cybersecurity compliance.

  • Mentor reporting team members on professional development, performance, and competencies.

  • Lead, monitor, and support projects involving classified information system focus from a cybersecurity compliance perspective.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 IAM Level III professional certification.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance or current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

  • Must be willing to travel domestically – minimal travel (0-20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret security clearance.

  • Active DoD 8570 IAM Level III professional certification

  • Familiarity with U.S. DoD cybersecurity guidance promulgated through CNSSI 1253 and DAAPM.

  • Experience using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • Able to resolve complex, difficult program.

  • Experience as a direct supervisor or managing people.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
