Job Title: Wire Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wire Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves stripping, pulling, and coiling wires up to 15-16 feet, attaching connectors and insulators, and running wires through machines to fasten clamps. You will also be responsible for kitting the wires and ensuring all work orders and components are properly tracked and organized.

Responsibilities

• Strip, pull, and coil wires up to 15-16 feet.

• Attach connectors and insulators to wires.

• Run wires through machines to fasten clamps on the end of wires.

• Kit wires and ensure all work orders and tickets are properly tracked.

• Double-check orders before taking them to QA for quantity and quality.

• Print labels and navigate customer apps menu.

• Report any damaged or malfunctioning tooling immediately.

• Perform end-of-day clean-up responsibilities.

• Follow work instructions on the log-in page and keep Excel control plan work instructions up simultaneously.

Essential Skills

• Basic math skills (adding/subtracting).

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Capability to lift up to 20 lbs.

• Basic kitting and assembly skills.

• General labor and light assembly experience.

• Entry-level production skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.

• Basic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate tablets, open files, and read email.

• Pass a mechanical test (administered during the interview).

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean, temperature-controlled warehouse with a laid-back atmosphere. Candidates will work on various electronic components, including those used in ice machines. The dress code includes jeans or shorts with no holes and a provided t-shirt. After 30 days, company shirts will be issued, and Fridays are casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
