Job Description:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a position based in Cedar Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining batch plant equipment, conveyor systems, and machinery with minimal supervision. This role is part of a fast-paced team environment where you will assemble, install, test, and maintain various equipment using hand and power tools. You will diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, inspect equipment and components, and advise management on potential hazards. The role also requires understanding and practicing safety precautions and OSHA safety and health rules. This job description may be subject to change at any time with or without notice. We are hiring for FIRST SHIFT AND OVERNIGHT SHIFT

Pay:

$20 - $30/hr based on interview, skills, and experience

*Eligible for pay raise at 90 day review and again at 6 months

Shift:

  • 6am - 4pm M - F

  • 3:30pm - 1:30am M - F

Essential Functions:

  • To maintain batch plant equipment, conveyor systems and machinery with minimal supervision, as part of a team in a fast paced environment

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain conveyor systems, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, concrete mixers, and various other equipment using hand tools and power tools

  • Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

  • Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair

  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous

  • Use of basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, hand tools, etc.

  • Understand and exercise the required safety precautions necessary to complete the job

  • Complete the assigned task in a timely and professional manner

  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules

  • Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V on industrial and diesel equipment

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/overhaul/repair diesel engines

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose repair hydraulic boom cranes

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair overhead cranes

  • Repair/Maintain heavy equipment, including heavy trucks and large truck trailers

  • Repair/maintain heavy equipment, including trucks and large truck trailers

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Seeking someone that has mechanical experience (diesel is a plus)

  • Plant is run on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic powered equipment

  • 1-2 years doing PMs and troubleshooting these types of equipment will suffice

  • Electrical wiring and troubleshooting

  • Candidates must have their own tools

  • Must have strong mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience, conveyor maintenance experience

  • Trade school certification strongly preferred
