Machinist
Job Description

As a Machinist, you will be tasked with machining a variety of aerospace and rocket parts, working with materials like copper, aluminum, steel, and hard carbon. Your role will involve manufacturing high-quality parts, reading technical drawings, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Machine high-quality parts
Read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions
Inspect and document manufactured parts
Perform machine set-ups for part manufacturing
Perform edits as needed
Abide by all safety standards
Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
Keep all work areas clean and organized
Maintain high standards of quality and take pride in your work
Be available to work 1st or 2nd shifts, with overtime as needed
Essential Skills
Minimum 6+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
Experience with 4-Axis and 5-Axis milling and lathe machines
Experience with Mazatrol or similar conversational programming
Proficiency working with multiple materials to produce high tolerance complex components
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting 25 lbs
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good math skills
Solid computer skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Okuma machines
Mill/Turn experience

Work Environment
All current openings are on the 2nd shift. Expect to work 48-50 hours every week, with optional but encouraged Saturday work. The work environment includes both climate and non-climate controlled areas. First Shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM and Friday from 6AM-2:30PM. Second Shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 4PM-2:30AM and Friday from 2PM-10PM. Overtime is currently 10 hours/day Monday-Thursday, 8 hours on Friday, with Saturdays optional and as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $46.00/hr.
