Job Description

As a Machinist, you will be tasked with machining a variety of aerospace and rocket parts, working with materials like copper, aluminum, steel, and hard carbon. Your role will involve manufacturing high-quality parts, reading technical drawings, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Machine high-quality parts

• Read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions

• Inspect and document manufactured parts

• Perform machine set-ups for part manufacturing

• Perform edits as needed

• Abide by all safety standards

• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately

• Keep all work areas clean and organized

• Maintain high standards of quality and take pride in your work

• Be available to work 1st or 2nd shifts, with overtime as needed

Essential Skills

• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist

• Experience with 4-Axis and 5-Axis milling and lathe machines

• Experience with Mazatrol or similar conversational programming

• Proficiency working with multiple materials to produce high tolerance complex components

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting 25 lbs

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good math skills

• Solid computer skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Okuma machines

• Mill/Turn experience

Work Environment

All current openings are on the 2nd shift. Expect to work 48-50 hours every week, with optional but encouraged Saturday work. The work environment includes both climate and non-climate controlled areas. First Shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM and Friday from 6AM-2:30PM. Second Shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 4PM-2:30AM and Friday from 2PM-10PM. Overtime is currently 10 hours/day Monday-Thursday, 8 hours on Friday, with Saturdays optional and as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $46.00/hr.
