Description

We are offering an opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in the construction industry, based in Castroville, California. The primary function of this role is to manage financial operations in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger. You will also be responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls, and providing guidance to the accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial operation functions in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger

• Oversee, monitor and work to improve accounting procedures and internal controls

• Audit workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry control and policies

• Coach and mentor accounting staff

• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Manage the production of annual budget and forecasts

• Issue timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements

• Oversee IT Management, HR Management, and Property Management

• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements

• Utilize various skills including Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions is ideal

• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions effectively.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected.

• Proficiency in Auditing techniques is required.

• Experience in managing Budget Processes is a must.

• Working knowledge of the construction/contractor industry is preferred.
