This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc).

SUMMARY:

Supply shops with the materials needed for current or upcoming Work Orders based on Parts List requirements or shop requests. Safety is a critical priority in all aspects of the work. Employees in this position are expected to adhere to all company safety policies and, where applicable, client safe work rules and procedures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

  • Comply with the internal and external regulatory processes (SCOX).

  • Safely operate forklifts up to 10,000lbs of capacity and participate as a spotter for other operators.

  • Review Parts lists prior to being purchased to identify any material(s) we can use off the shelf or out of stock.

  • Complete weekly stock orders to ensure we have enough stock for current demand w/ a safety stock level for any uncertainties.

  • Supply shop employees with materials needed to complete projects on the shop floor.

  • Accurately and timely manages data for material allocation activities within formal and informal information systems (JDE).

  • Investigate all material variances within the system ASAP to help maintain accurate information.

  • Participate with project -Lessons Learned- and support solutions.

  • Actively participate to identify areas of opportunity and barriers for effective performance.

  • Participate in reconciliation activities to support the warehouse weekly cycle counting process.

  • Adhere to Company-s policies & processes, including Supply Chain processes.

  • Work with the Shop Leadmen, Project Management, & Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to effectively manage and coordinate the flow of all materials to the shop floor.

  • Work with the Materials Coordinator to discuss and material shortages that might affect production.

  • Respond to and clarify questions concerning material variances.

  • Respond to and clarify questions concerning material shortages on Work Order-s (WO-s).

  • Respond to and clarify questions concerning materials transactions.

  • Seeks advice and guidance for difficult or complex tasks from SCM, Project Management, or QC staff.

  • Interface with materials coordinator to support the efficient delivery replacement parts.

  • Involve Project Management on any materials requested by the shop that weren-t originally on the Parts List.

  • Supply materials coordinator & projects department daily status on any unresolved material discrepancies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 - 3 years in a warehouse-related field required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication required.

  • Proven skills in planning, organizing and conducting activities requiring independent decisions/judgment desired.

  • Strong personal computer skills including Microsoft Office and able to learn company software highly desired.

  • Knowledge of production equipment and fabrication desired.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift.
