Product Training Specialist, Sterling Vikrell

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Remote but accessible to Casa Grande, AZ (Phoenix/Chandler area).

Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Training Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging product training tools for new and existing products in the Sterling Vikrell portfolio. This individual will work closely with product managers, engineers, sales, and channel marketing to ensure that their training programs accurately reflect the latest features, installation, and functionality of the products. They will also be responsible for conducting training with internal and external customers by focusing on the product. In addition, this individual will provide feedback from customers that identifies gaps and opportunities from the market.

Under the direction of the Product Training Manager, this individual is responsible for building product training curriculum for Sales associates, customers, and Authorized Service Representative network for the Sterling Vikrell category.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, development, delivery, facilitation and implementation of various engaging training programs and materials targeted to the Sales, Marketing, Pro and Authorized Service Representative network.

  • Responsible for the design, development, delivery, facilitation, and implementation of various engaging training programs and materials targeted to trade partners, key specifiers, and strategic partner organizations.

  • Coordinates and develops training curricula for customer and installer visits assigned.

  • Conducts training seminars and activities on a broad range of topics to educate installers and trade on technical and troubleshooting aspects of our products, installation, and function.

  • Designs and implements external training programs in conjunction with product managers, sales management, and marketing management in support of strategic objectives, priorities, and new product launches.

  • Partner with NPD to provide proactive installation and warranty service for new products.

  • Takes the lead in recommending, developing, and implementing skill gap closures for sales and marketing groups and Authorized Service Representative.

  • Champions in-market training for distributors, contractors, and plumbers; spending approximately 25% of time in-market.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or another related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in product training, sales, engineering, marketing, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and clear way.

  • Experience in an adult-learning, training, or instructional design field is highly desirable.
