Robert Half Supply Management Specialist I in Cary, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Supply Management Specialist I in Cary, North Carolina. This role operates within a dynamic industry, where you will be primarily focused on sourcing support for the development and execution of strategies and contracts for commodities. You will be handling tasks of varying complexity, and your work will be instrumental in achieving our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for commodities of varying complexity and value.

• Conduct data analysis, including cost models, spend analysis, and invoice issue resolution.

• Work closely with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues.

• Participate in the early supplier selection process as part of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process.

• Manage supplier performance using the Achieving Excellence process.

• Execute Order Fulfillment Process with cost reduction activities, analyzing quotations, and making supplier selection based on various criteria.

• Support the Engineering Change Management process to implement design changes and product improvements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Develop and execute inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals.

• Resolve shipping, receiving, invoicing, and payment problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.

• Drive continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the Supply Base. Requirements • Proficient in communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders

• Experience in invoice management and payment processing

• Familiarity with planning processes and ability to maintain quality standards

• Proven expertise in project management and handling contracts

• Strong knowledge and understanding of finance principles

• Ability to provide workstation support when needed

• Experience in dealing with commodities and strong negotiation skills

• Proven track record in successful implementation of projects

• Familiarity with engineering principles and data analysis techniques

• Ability to execute tasks efficiently and effectively

• Experience in shipping procedures and dealing with suppliers

• Knowledge of sourcing strategies and principles

• Willingness to work onsite as required

• Experience in creating validation plans and asset management

• Excellent conflict resolution skills

• Ability to handle quotations and related tasks effectively.
