Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is hiring an Aftermarket Program Manager ! In this role, you will be responsible for prioritizing and overseeing execution of CISD Aftermarket growth projects.
Role Summary: You will be responsible for the cadence, quality and process improvement of CISD Aftermarket growth plans dependencies. Dependencies are raised by Caterpillar dealers as critical enablers toward executing their aftermarket growth strategy. Dependencies address gaps with Product (physical and digital) and Service attributes: price, value, serviceability and distribution. You will make decisions that may shape digital systems, multiple products within a product line, processes or factories, and customers’ perception of the company.
What You’ll Do
Focus on long-range focus business strategies and near-term execution
Establish a culture that encourages innovation, partnering and collaborative relationships with a customer back focus
Provide guidance & support project execution and help remove barriers as they arise
Address continual change – increasing competitive pressures, new technology, product complexity and customer demands
Collaborate with internal customers, depending on the specific assignment including component divisions, machine business divisions and digital solution owners
Navigate within each division’s culture and achieve consensus to enable successful project execution
Manage decisions that may have significant impact on sales and future product direction and cause an evolutionary effect on technology
Partner with dependency solution owners to ensure the successful completion of accepted dependencies
Monitor and track dependencies to ensure proper processing in a timely manner
Partner with LTMs (Leadership Table Members) and dealers to understand and document return on investment from any completed dependency
Onboard and train LTMs
Main contact for CISD related to Leadership Table processes
Consult with Global Leadership Table team to ensure consistent execution and implementation of LT process across the organization and verticals
Monitor and facilitate the development of CISD Global Statements which outline aftermarket strategies for both products and services.
What You Have
Progressive, job related experience including process execution, analysis and metrics reporting, sales, or marketing experience
Extensive experience developing both tactical and strategic business cases
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Experience in project management strategies and tactics to achieve objectives
Relationship building and effect communication skills to collaborate across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences and to gain understanding and acceptance of aftermarket initiatives
Influencing skills to deal with challenging issues, mentor and coach and persuade others on a new approach, application, or potential solution
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Six sigma / black belt experience
Strategic thinking and critical thinking skills along with negotiation and strong decision-making capabilities
Global perspective, knowledge of issues, opportunities and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Engineering
Additional Details
This role can be located in one of three Caterpillar offices: Cary, NC; Dallas, TX or Peoria, IL
Domestic relocation packages are available
Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring 3 days per week of onsite, in office work
Travel up to 10% may be required for this role
