Eurofins Collections Clerk in Cary, North Carolina

The Collections clerk will be responsible for contacting past due clients as well as initiating and following up on collections procedures. This includes contacting customers, reconciling accounts, processing payments, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding debts.Further duties include processing same day payments, updating accounting software with activity and correcting accounts as needed. The Collections Clerk is expected to uphold high standards of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail in their daily tasks.

This position is fully onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Initiate collections calls to customers with outstanding balances

Aim to establish meaningful contact by engaging in productive conversations about payment resolution

Document each call, including relevant details and outcomes, in the collections system.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date collections reports, ensuring all pertinent information is recorded

Include details such as payment dates, amounts, and any notes or actions taken

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to place accounts on hold or require prepayment, as necessary

Regularly monitor these accounts to ensure compliance and take appropriate actions when needed

Accurately process customer payments received 

Foster positive relationships with clients by demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach to collections

A 2-year or 4-year accounting degree would be preferred, but applicable experience can be substituted.

Experience with accounting software, intermediate to advanced Excel and positive track record with collections.

This role has a pay range of $19 - 21 an hour with health, dental and vision benefits as well as a company matching 401K plan and PTO plan. 

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business section, and geographic location
