Position Overview

This role will create content for the Shaw Contract brand, helping to grow our digital footprint and delight our customers, while maintaining a positive brand experience. Responsibilities include working with marketing and communications to develop a regular cadence of content based on brand objectives and help elevate our client experience efforts. The role will create content for various social media channels, be responsible for community management and serve as a brand ambassador, interacting with customers via a digital platform. Additionally, this individual will empower our account managers to engage in social selling through social media training and content creation. Technical expertise and excellent visual and written communication skills are key for this position. The Communications Specialist will have graphic design responsibility to support social media and other brand initiatives, working closely with the creative team and creative director.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize video, animation, design and photography skills to create organic and paid social media content over a variety of channels

  • Create engaging content and experiences that surprise and delight our audience and positions Shaw Contract as a thought leader to our customers

  • Graphic design responsibility for social and other brand initiatives working with the creative team

  • Resize and refigure product photography and video for social media utilization

  • Maintain a library of assets, including all source files for creative assets and social copy

  • Create assets and copy for social sellers; utilize social tools to distribute appropriate content to sales and marketing employees to share with networks

  • Schedule and manage social media channels with social media management technology

  • Brainstorm new, creative approaches to organic social media channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest

  • Create and deliver regular social media reports and internal communications

Requirements:

  • 4-year marketing or communications degree or relevant experience preferred

  • Skilled in graphic design and experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop

  • Familiarity with social media management tools Sprout Social and Bambu preferred

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations

  • Proven experience with designing and executing social media content

  • The ability to work under pressure, constant change, and inflexible deadlines

  • Must be innovative, strategic, and results-driven with a shared passion for achieving and exceeding KPIs for the organization

  • Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners, strong collaborator

  • Successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines; must be able to allocate time and resources accordingly

  • Have the ability to champion ideas and influence key stakeholders

  • Copywriting skills a plus
