Aston Carter Supply Chain Manager in Carteret, New Jersey

Description:

  • Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.

  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.

  • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.

  • Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.

  • Assists with manufacturing floor layout updates, understands material flow through the building.

  • Performs write-offs or inventory for damaged or obsolete inventory.

  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.

  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.

  • Manage purchasing, warehouse, shipping, receiving teams.

  • Negotiate with all suppliers/vendors.

  • Work with sales to understand forecast and planning

  • Expedite materials for unit builds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • 5 years of experience within Supply Chain- Aerospace (Preferred)

  • Over 3 years of managerial experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Business Management, and/or Materials Management

  • ERP Experience & Excel
