Details:

• Proper preparation of surfaces and application of painting materials to a variety of exterior surfaces.

• Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.

• Apply primer and undercoat uniformly.

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for minor damage repairs.

• Treat scratched and chipped areas with plastic or liquid filler.

• Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as bumpers, windows, chrome trim, and other parts while surrounding areas are spray-painted.

• Tapes the truck bodies up using tape, paper and plastic bags.

• Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper removing gloss from previous coats of paint.

• Sand rough spots.

• After truck body is painted, remove masking tape, and clean vehicle.

• Move vehicle to designated area for buffing.

• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
